SATURDAY 10TH JULY – MEMBER CHARITY EVENT

Help Transform a life in one night

Homelessness doesn’t just occur when it’s cold. It’s every day all through the year. Homelessness isn’t just about the cold. It’s about not having somewhere to call home.

By taking part in our ‘Sleep Out at Home’ you will spend one night sleeping outside in your garden, backyard, or flat balcony if you have one and it’s safe to do so.

You are so close to your bed, sofa, fridge, TV, bath, and your life but you can, through a set of unfortunate circumstances, be a short distance away from it too. For many vulnerable people it’s a very thin line between having a home or not.

More details can be found HERE.

 Register to take part HERE.

FRIDAY 16TH JULY – IN PERSON! 09:00 to 12:00 (arrival from 08:30)

Foundations of Success Workshop – Raising Funds for Transform Housing and Support.

We are delighted to announce a joint project organised by Mole Valley Chamber of Commerce, run by Chamber Member LMI UK to support charity Member Transform Housing and Support. This project is also being supported by charity Member The Leatherhead Theatre, which has kindly donated the training space.

Transform supports hundreds of socially excluded and vulnerable people across Surrey and the surrounding areas each year. It is the largest supported housing provider in Surrey and is dedicated to the prevention of homelessness. The clients it supports are people aged 16 years and upwards, homeless people and those at risk of homelessness, and people with mental health issues, drug or alcohol dependencies or physical or learning disabilities.

LMI is a UK Leadership Management company with a great range of programmes. One of these is the Foundations of Success, a CPD Certified course, with a standard cost of £249.

In partnership with Mole Valley Chamber of Commerce, LMI is offering delegates the opportunity to join this workshop without cost.

At the end of the course, all who attend will be invited to make a donation to Transform Housing and Support, based on the value they have gained during the morning. 100% of all donations will go direct to Transform.

Foundations of Success

Foundations of Success introduces the ideas and practical tools that LMI has been using for 60 years to help managers and leaders become more productive and effective. The workshop covers goals and motivation, organisation and time management, communication and personal goal setting. It shares a practical planning system that enables participants to put the ideas into practice immediately.

At the Foundations of Success workshop you will learn simple, practical ways to:

  • establish an effective goal-setting system to achieve sustained, consistent success;
  • manage your workload and prioritise effectively to achieve more valuable activities each day;
  • create more time and energy for crucial strategic work that so often gets sidelined by the urgent crisis and daily firefighting;
  • improve internal and external communication.

Spaces are strictly limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis. However, due to the nature of the project, if you are unable to attend for any reason we ask you let us know so we can release the space.

Registrations will end at 12:00 midday on Friday 9 July.

We look forward to seeing you there!
