Charity Walk for Crossroads Care Surrey and Rotary Club of Banstead

Why not join this year’s Banstead Rotary 8.5 mile Charity Walk and fundraise on behalf of Crossroads Care Surrey at the same time?

We’re looking for enthusiastic walkers to join us on Sunday 8th May. It’s FREE to join but we do ask that you raise a minimum of £20 per person taking part.

85% of what we collectively raise will go to support the work of Crossroads Care Surrey and 15% will go to support Banstead Rotary who are organising the event.

Event information:

  • The walk is ideal for families (and your dog) and will take around 4 hours to complete.
  • The start and end point is Tattenham Corner with the walk winding its way through the North Downs past Headley Church to Nower Wood (the half way checkpoint) where refreshments (for you and your dog) are available.
  • The return is via the leafy path on the roman route of Stane Street. The road crossings will be marshalled and route notes will be supported by signs in key places.
  • Walkers can start at any time between 8.30am and 10am.

Fundraising:

You are encouraged to ask friends, family and work colleagues to sponsor you (each walker is asked to raise a minimum of £20). Please share this link with them so that they can donate on our team page in support of your efforts: https://app.investmycommunity.com/campaign-page/supporting-local-unpaid-carers-in-surrey

To secure your place and join our walking team:

Please contact David Annand, our Corporate & Community Relationship Officer, at David.Annand@crossroadscaresurrey.org.uk by Friday 22nd April to confirm your place. David will then ensure you’ll have a lovely Crossroads Care Surrey T-shirt to wear on the day.

We hope that you or your family members and friends will be able to join us this year!
